The low-lying areas in the foothills of Darjeeling are dotted with tea estates, some of which produce small quantities of fine teas that resemble the character of Darjeelings and this is mostly so during the very early spring flush. This tea from the area known as the Terai is fairly light-liquoring and has a taste reminiscent of fruits and nuts with grassy undertones. The complexity of the flavor makes for a relishing cup. Can also be enjoyed with light savories
