The low-lying areas in the foothills of Darjeeling are dotted with tea estates, some of which produce small quantities of fine teas that resemble the character of Darjeelings and this is mostly so during the very early spring flush. This tea from the area known as the Terai, comes with earthy undertones and fruitiness and has a mild floral aroma which makes a desirable and interesting cuppa. Light accompaniments, complement this fine tea.
