‘Phua –Gori’ ( Phua meaning Abundant & Gori meaning camp ) located in Darjeeling’s Mirik Valley where the Phuguri T.E. is situated, was named ‘Phuguri’ by the British in the year 1884. It approximate annual production of 1,00,000 kgs is derived from a planted area spreading over 201 Hectares, and this plantation gradually descends from a height of 2560 metres to 1770 metres. The first flush tea of this estate is generally outstanding.
